Nostalgia,

I've just rediscovered this blog, and I'm very much considering coming back. Who knows, we shall see.

Recent buys,

I'm so sorry that I've not been posting too often and I wont lie and say that I've been swamped with university work and deadlines because I've honestly not. I have however been having the time of my life and absolutely loving being a fresher, spending time with my closest friends. It's been a great couple of weeks!

I thought I'd do a little update of things I've bought recently, I've managed to tick a few things off my wishlists as well!
Parka - Asos // Printed tunic - Topshop // Cardigan - Miss Selfridge // Jurassic Park T - Ebay // Lace Top - Topshop

My parents treated me to the Parka and let me say this one thing, I have never in my life worn something more warm and comfortable, I've pretty much not taken it off since I got it in the post. The Jurassic Park T hasn't arrived yet but I am so unbelievably excited to wear it - JP is my favorite film of all time.

wearing my new cardigan!

I'll try to get a proper post together as soon as possible but for now this is all I have to offer I'm sorry! Have any of you bought anything wonderful lately?

Snow Day,

So due to the fact that I'm only actually in lectures for one day a week I've had more than enough time to play in the snow recently. I'll admit that when I first saw it falling from the sky last Friday I was almost as excited as any little kid is on Christmas Eve - this is mostly because where I'm from we NEVER get snow, something about being too close to the sea I'm unsure really - anyway, along with a few of my flat mates the snow was our playground this past long weekend.

I've spent hours outside, so much so that every part of my body aches from running, ducking and throwing snowballs at people who used to be complete strangers but whom I'd now gladly call friends. The snow really brought everyone on my campus together, we had a massive snowball fight then all gave in and came inside for hot drinks it was really sweet.

Walking up the hill to my lecture today was a scary life threatening task and I wasn't sure I was going to make it, there were a few moments where it was touch and go and there was a very real possibility I was about to find myself face first in the icy slush. Pretty much everything has melted away now and it's a sort of sad feeling, although as I write this I can see it starting to snow again so who knows we may have a few more days of cold fun left afterall.

How do you feel about the snow? Love it/loathe it?

Winter warmers,

So given England's sudden Baltic conditions and the freak snow storm we've had this past weekend, I've discovered that I have few - if not zero - 'snow appropriate' clothes. I am literally so unprepared for the winter months that it is unreal.
I've come to realise that 'snow appropriate' shoes are boots (of which I only have one pair and they don't really go with anything at all) or wellies (which I stupidly left in Southport when I came back to London) so I've been hanging out making snow angels and having ridiculous snowball fights with the whole of my uni campus in converse and let me tell you that is not a fun experience. It's very cold, very wet and it makes you feel a little like you're dying inside.

Because of this I've taken it upon myself to set out in search of a good winter coat and other cosy winter warmers which are just generally essentials in these snowy eskimo conditions...
Parka - Asos // Bag - Topshop // Polkadot Onesie - Jack Wills // Striped Onesie - Next // Beanie - River Island // Parka - Miss Selfridge

There is absolutely nothing I love more right now than a Parka coat, I'm saving all I can to buy one because they just look like the cosiest things in all the world to me right now, I literally cannot imagine walking to lectures in my thin coat that I've got at the moment. A Parka is a must! As for onesies well they basically rule the world right now - I already have two, a few more couldn't hurt!

How have you been coping with the icy conditions, love it or hate it? Any winter warmers you couldn't live without?

My dream bedroom,

It's about that time of my university life where me and my 4 closest friends in London are on the hunt for our own house to live in for the next 2 years (scary I know since I'm only just half way through my first year of my degree). Anyway, as much as I love London and I love living here, the area I live in is well lets say - not the nicest.
With our student budgets all we can afford are houses to rent on the estates near to our campus, which we don't mind however they're not the white picket polly pocket type houses that you dream of living in when you're a little girl. It's because of this not so attractive outside that we're all determined to make the inside of our first house together as homely and attractive as possible by putting our own personal stamps on it.
Here's my ideal bedroom wishlist, hopefully i'll be able to afford some if not all of these things or similar to make my new bedroom feel like home and not just another dingy room in a house on that creepy estate.

The links to all these items can be found in the text below

The bedding is of course Cath Kidston - which is basically what I have at the moment anyway - the wardrobe and dresser both come from Next, I absolutely adore the vintage look they both have, and the fact they are both in 'ivory' rather than plain white is even more wonderful to me. The bunting also comes from Next and I feel it would go excellently up on a plain wall which would otherwise be pretty bare, on another wall I'd have the 'Happy Sayings' wall hanging (also from Next) as I feel it would be the perfect thing to wake up to on a dreary London morning when I have to trudge my way through the cold to a 9am lecture. The wall of photographs is my own, the exact one that is currently on the wall above my bed in my university room. I think any bedroom needs this personal touch, be it in frames or just stuck up on the wall like mine - it just makes it more 'you'

What's your bedroom necessity? Have you recently moved into your own place for the first time? Tell me anything and everything, I feel like I've not heard from you all in years!

Accessorising Accessories,

Christmas was only a few weeks ago and I could quite happily spend a good few posts blogging about the different things I received from various family members and close friends, but alas I will not. Instead I'm planning on focusing on one gift - my favorite of all - and that is the bracelet I was given by my older sister Victoria.

Now usually I'm not one to wear bracelets on a day to day basis and I tend to stick to only blinging up my wrists on nights out but when I opened the tiny little package this one came in I knew then and there that this piece of jewelry was going to be one that I very rarely take off - and so far I've been right.
The bracelet itself is a rather simple daisy chain bracelet by Cath Kidston, and although it is not as elaborate as say a Pandora bracelet full of charms I am completely in love with it and the way the jewels glint, occasionally with a green tint.
The cutest bracelet known to man

So since I was given this piece I've not once had it off my wrist and I don't plan on removing it any time soon, instead i've been planning entire outfits around it. This is a quick wishlist I've put together - I absolutely adore the dress from Republic and I'm hoping to buy it asap, the boots are also something I'd seriously consider killing for and of course my trusty satchel had to make an appearance.

Is there any piece of jewelry you couldn't live without, something sentimental perhaps? For me it is my Pandora ring (also a gift from my sister) and now my new baby the CK bracelet.

Back to the land of the living,

So I may or may not have posted on this blog in 90 days but hopefully all that is about to change as I've now got more spare time and nothing other than blogging to fill it with.
Let me start my return with a quick catch up of what I've been up to since October (wow I really have been gone a long time)...
Well there was Halloween, my favorite holiday of the year and last years was even better than any other I've ever experienced, seriously Halloween at university will change your life - enough said. Then there were a good few weeks where very little happened before I left London and headed North again to spend Christmas and New Years with my family. Both of which were good and bad at the same time if that's possible...

Anyway, this is a new year 2013 (I'm still not used to writing it down) and I intend on being more up to date and generally a better blogger.
But the proper posting of fashion etc. will have to wait until tomorrow because I'm currently in the process of applying for a job at Cath Kidston - only my favorite store in the entire world - so wish me luck and I'll see all you lovely people asap.
